The Syrian Trap | 1.Russia got to keep its bases in Syria but no longer has to invest manpower and weapons to defend Syria. As in, Russia keeps the advantages of being allied with Syria but it no longer HAS a front in Syria. 2. Jawlani conquered(or got handed) a broken country with multiple areas occupied by enemies... only unlike Assad he has no means to defend it because Israel just destroyed all defense systems Syria had. 3. Turkey not has an open war on its border that it will need to invest more to defend.Turkey also just lost the goodwill of Russia which will probably translate in the end of the Turkstream contract. As in, no more Russian gas flowing into Europe via Turkey. Guess who loses here. Not Russia.Turkey loses its ambition of becoming a fuel hub for Europe. Europe loses all access to cheap Russian gas. " But they can now build the Arabstream pipeline into Europe" . Sure they can build a very expensive piece of infrastructure through an open war area. Good luck with that. 4. Israel, who is struggling against Hezbollah in Lebanon, now has an additional front to contend with. Even if the muslim factions who were just given a country base won't attack Israel yet- Jawlani already said next step is Jerusalem- Israel will need to spend additional money and troops on securing their new border and buffer zone in Syria, from their own knackered economy. 5. America literally moved its problem in Syria from a slow burning fire to a hot one that will require more troops, more weapons and they'll be fighting the very same guys they just equipped and paid for. The same America who was just told to get their shit out of Iraq. Relax. For very bad things are about to happen |
